That first fresh snow, the quiet walk in the woods, and the deer, bathed by a beautiful burst of sun rays in the first “hunt” of the season. Whether you are hunting for game or an artist looking for a scene to paint or photograph, the adrenaline rush coming upon a scene like this can be just as moving. This is a photograph taken in the northern NY Adirondack mountains by my son, Jeff Richards, after a first snow with some digital enhancements added by me.
