1st Place Win in the contest … A SINGLE ORCHID, 03/09/2024, Members Participating: 134, Images Submitted: 256

We visited the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens orchid show and were able to take pictures of these beautiful orchids. These beautiful Cattleya Orchids (orange, pink, white and pink) really caught my eye.

The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre (6.1 ha) botanical garden located at 900 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota, Florida. The Gardens are located on the grounds of the former home of Marie and William Selby.

Sa-Ngob Delight ‘Krairit’ (Brassavola x Laelia x Cattleya) a large, fragrant flower blooms from September to December much to the delight of the gardener. The petals are dark pink with lighter pink sepals and a deep pink ruffled lip with white in the throat. ‘Krairit’ flowers last 2-4 weeks and there are usually 2-4 blooms per spike.
